* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread from which stockings and tights are made.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the DENIER number (40, 70, etc.), the more opaque the stocking or tights. It is thicker, and less skin is visible.
