* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the DENIER number (40, 70, etc.), the more transparent the stocking or tights. It is thicker and less skin is visible.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber stockings and tights in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. They are often worn in autumn and winter.
