* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measure for the thickness of the thread from which stockings and pantyhose are made.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the finer and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the DENIER number (40, 70, etc.), the stocking or pantyhose will be thicker and less skin will be visible.
