* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn from which stockings and tights are made.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tight. Conversely, the higher the DENIER number (40, 70, etc.), the more transparent the stocking or tight. It is thicker and less skin is visible.
