* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn from which stockings and tights are made.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the DENIER number (40, 70, etc.), the more transparent the stocking or tights. It is thicker and less skin is visible.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber stockings and tights in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is hardly visible. They are often worn in autumn and winter.

Low denier stockings and tights are typically worn in spring and summer. The remaining stockings can be worn all year round, for example, for celebrations, as they appear more elegant due to their low density.
