If you asked 100 people to stop after 3 minutes, they would all give a different time, meaning that people are either underusing or overusing the pump.
The green lights indicate the 3 minutes you should stay on the pump, and the red lights indicate time off the pump. This can be repeated 3 times to get the manufacturer's recommendation for pump usage.
